Hello, Team!


Spring is in the air, and so is the spirit of competition!


Our athletes have been busy chasing personal bests, breaking records, and collecting medals.


Here’s a roundup of the incredible achievements from the recent championships - Athletics NSW Junior Championships, Athletics NSW Youth Championships, and Little Athletics NSW State Championships.


NSW Junior Championships (8th-10th March 2024)

Our young athletes showed great endurance and skill.


Pippa Lloyd-Shepherd made us proud with her performance in the Under 15 girls category, securing 7th in the 3000m with a time of 11:13.92, 8th in the 1500m clocking 5:01.44, and an impressive 3rd in the 2000m steeplechase finishing in 7:55.08.


In the Under 15 boys, Ben Proszenko finished the 3000m in 18th place with a time of 10:59.85 and took 12th in the 2000m steeplechase with 7:18.17.


Little Athletics State Championships (22nd-24th March 2024)

My Run Team had a number of athletes from various Little Athletics NSW locations compete at the State Championships over the weekend of the 22nd to 24th March 2024.


Pippa Lloyd-Shepherd continued her streak in the Under 15 girls with new personal bests, taking 2nd in the 800m with 2:19.49, 4th in the 1500m at 4:56.97, and another 2nd in the 3000m, clocking an impressive 10:39.62.


Ben Proszenko continued to perform well with a 24th placing in a time of 10:39.14 in a hotly contested field.


Phoenix Phillips gave his all in the Under 15 boys 100m finishing in 8th place with a time of 11.85 and 15th in the 200m in a time of 24.40.


Jack Spencer added to his accolades with a 1st place finish in the 200m final with a new personal best of 25.92, and a strong 3rd in the 80m hurdles final with 12.54.


John Biloni continued to show his form in the Under 9s finishing 1st in his 70m sprint heat and then 7th in the final in a time of 10.94 and then backed it up with the 100m heats finishing in an excellent time of 15.32.

NSW Youth Championships (14th-17th March 2024)

The inaugural Athletics NSW Youth Championships were held at Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre on the weekend of the 14th to 17th March 2024. My Run Team had two athletes competing in Jack Spencer and Wiliam Bailey. Both are Primary School National Athletes.


Jack Spencer sprinted to success in the Under 12 boys category, becoming the State Champion in the 200m with a blazing 25.97 in the final, after being the 2nd fastest qualifier in the heats. He also clinched 2nd in the 100m final with 12.89. William Bailey also made a mark with a 9th place finish in both the 100m and 200m finals.


William did his best competing against Jack in the 100m and 200m events. William finished the 100m in 9th place with a time of 13.68, having run a 13.43 in the heat, and 9th in the 200m final with a time of 28.56 after finishing 6th in the heats with a time of 27.87. 

Upcoming Events - National Championships 11th to 19th April 2024🏆


The excitement continues as we gear up for the National Championships happening from 11th to 19th April 2024. Our very own Jack Spencer and Pippa Lloyd-Shepherd will be representing My Run Team on the national stage. Their dedication and hard work have led them to this moment, and we’re all cheering for their success!


Let’s show our support and send them off with our best wishes as they prepare to compete against the nation’s finest athletes. Go Jack and Pippa! 🌟


School Cross Country and Athletics Carnivals

Our athletes have been active across various school events, showing versatility and determination. Their participation and results have been commendable, setting a strong foundation for the upcoming season.


Outstanding performances by Maggie Ma finishing 3rd in the Under 12 girls IPSHA Cross Country Carnival and is now off to CIS Cross Country Carnival on the 6th June 2024. Algie Marchant gave his all and finished in 25th place in the Under 12 boys and has been selected to also compete at CIS on 6th June 2024. Good luck to both athletes.


Other performance of note was Spencer Marchant finished 3rd at his school Cross Country carnival in the under 9 boys. His followed it up with a 1st in Shot-put and discus at his schools throws carnival.


Ben Proszenko continues to show his talent finishing 1st in his schools Under 15 boys 3000m in 10:51 and 1st in the Under 15 boys 1500m.


Phoenix Phillips continues to improve his sprints with 1st in the Under 15 boys 100m and 200m, setting a school record time of 23.77 for the 200m.


Jackson Halliday continues to excel at his school cross country carnivals finishing in a fast 3rd place in the Under 12 boys.


Sam excelled at his school carnival finishing 3rd in both the 100m and 200m and 2nd in Shot-put. He also achieved the 'Best Batsman' award at his local cricket club.


Marcus Francis finished 6th in his school Cross Country carnival and then followed it up with 2nd in the 100m, 3rd in the 200m and 1st in high jump.


We are so proud of all our athletes as they continue to work on their skills to improve their performances. We are excited to see where these kids can go in the future.


As we move forward, let’s keep the momentum going! Train hard, stay focused, and let’s aim for even greater heights.
