At My Run Team, we offer online running coaching and tailored running training plans for the full spectrum of runners, from kids, teens, recreational runners and performance athletes. No matter where you live in the world, you can benefit from our extensive network of qualified, passionate and experienced running coaches.
Your online running coach will get to know you and your goals, and hand-craft a bespoke plan to help you reach them. Every runner is unique, and a unique running training plan is the perfect way to optimise your running, improve your performance and maximise your enjoyment of the world’s oldest sport.
WHAT’S ON OFFER?
Initial telephone or email consultation with your Coach to set your goals, discuss your training history and get to know your running strengths and weaknesses.
A monthly training plan delivered via our training platform on Training Peaks, designed specifically for you, evolves in response to your feedback. Your personalised running training plan will be tweaked and updated to reflect the reality of your training journey. Are your legs feeling heavy and tired? Let’s decrease next week’s mileage. Do hamstrings feel tight during your speedwork session? Let’s add some targeted flexibility work. Your training plan evolves in line with the training you complete, and how you felt doing it.
How does Online Coaching differ from a generic program/ONE SIZE FITS ALL?: Knowing that you’ll be accountable will provide you with extra incentive to stay true to your goal. Additionally, generic programs fail to individually suit an individual's “current” level of development and lifestyle. It’s important to train “smart” and gradually build on where you’re “currently” placed as well as factor in time availability whilst targeting short term and long term goals.
The majority of programs I set involve four training runs/week. This has proven to be a volume of training which leads to improvement whilst still allowing ample energy for family/work and other priorities.
